I am sitting here going through some old back issues of Time magazine and I came across the photo of former US Vice-President Al Gore's office at his home. This formed part of a very interesting article entitled " The Last Temptation of Al Gore" and it speculates on whether or not Gore will seek the US presidency again (he says he won't and I somehow believe him). I'm not sure what to make of his office. I mean, the book shelves are good, nice lighting through the windows but...... A multi-coloured frog? (I assume it is a frog). THREE computer monitors (why does he need three? It looks to me like he is only browsing the internet - it's not as if he is compiling software programs or doing any kind of uploading / downloading which would make an extra screen valuable). Plus someone really needs to teach him on how to have a clean organised desk! Finding a piece of paper on that desk would be like trying to find the proverbial needle in the famous haystack. Plus why sit with his back to the television where he can't see the picture? Man oh man oh man....looking at that photo is starting to raise my blood pressure! OK, I have a slightly cluttered workspace as well but that's because of lack of space! I don't think Al can use that excuse! Labels: gore, photos, time |
